What can I really say about the Insurgents MC?
Short answer: I love these guys.
Long answer? This was the very first MC romance series I ever read—and it’s the one that got me completely hooked on the genre. I still remember tearing through these books and realizing, “Okay… so this is my new obsession now.”
Tattoos, Harleys, leather, filthy mouths, loyalty that doesn’t bend for anyone, and men who’ll burn down half the state if you so much as look at their woman wrong—that’s the Insurgents.
If you’re into brotherhood, found family, messy pasts, and big, dirty-hearted bikers… yeah, this series is going to hit.

One of the reasons this series stuck with me is that the brothers don’t all feel like the same man in different cuts. Each one has their own baggage, scars, and way of loving. The women aren’t paper dolls either—curvy, classy, sassy, single moms, veterans, mechanics, librarians, “good girls,” and chaos-bringers in their own right.
The Insurgents live by their own code. They don’t care what “citizens” think. They’re family first. And that comes through in every single book.

You can jump to certain books based on tropes, but reading in order makes it feel like you’re actually living in this world—watching couples settle, kids grow, and new brothers roll in.
Book-By-Book Thoughts (Early Series)
These are the “core” books that first sold me on the Insurgents and on MC romance in general.
Book 1 – Hawk’s Property (Hawk & Cara)
We start off strong with Hawk, the VP, and Cara, the lawyer who really thought she’d never see this biker again. She gives him the wrong number, thinks she’s safe—and then his case drops right onto her desk.
From there, it’s game over.
This is my favorite couple in the whole series. Cara is stuck between the world of law and a man who completely ignores it. Hawk is intense, possessive, and absolutely that guy who will wreck anyone who even thinks about hurting her. Cara isn’t a pushover—she pushes back and holds her ground.
They set the tone for everything that comes after: heat, heart, and real stakes.

Book 2 – Jax’s Dilemma (Jax & Cherri)
Jax, the Sergeant-at-Arms, falls hard the minute he rescues Cherri. She has every reason not to trust another man, especially a biker. And when she starts to let him in slowly… he keeps stumbling.
Jax is stubborn in that “I’m not giving up on you” way, and the book gives you that mix of frustration and payoff that makes you root for them. There’s also a twist I genuinely didn’t see coming, which I loved.

Book 3 – Chas’s Fervor (Chas & Addie)
This one is pure chemistry.
Chas is a dirty-talking biker whose son struggles with reading. Addie is the librarian helping his boy—and suddenly stuck dealing with sparks she did not sign up for.
She’s curvy, redheaded, and precisely the kind of heroine I love: soft on the outside, spine of steel underneath. Every scene with them feels charged. Bad boy biker + “good girl” librarian will never, ever get old.

Book 4 – Axe’s Fall (Axe & Baylee)
Axe and Baylee have a one-night stand at a wedding and think that’s it. Surprise: it’s not.
Baylee takes a new job and walks in to find her “one night only” hooked into her client—the Insurgents. She’s career-focused and not looking for a biker-shaped complication. He’s not used to being turned down.
On top of that, Baylee is dealing with memories of her mother’s unsolved murder. The suspense and danger blend really nicely with their relationship as Axe shifts from cocky player to full-on protector.

Book 5 – Banger’s Ride (Banger & Belle)
I’m weak for older, set-in-their-ways heroes, and Banger checks all those boxes. He’s the President, a widower, and absolutely not looking for another serious relationship.
Then Belle walks in—widow, single mom, and still reeling from discovering her late husband’s affair. She’s focused on her kids and survival, not romance.
Together, they’re so good. She doesn’t let him steamroll her. He’s gruff, tattooed, stubborn as hell, and she still takes him down to his knees. There’s a twist I did not see coming, and it made me appreciate how carefully Wilder plots this series.

Book 6 – Jerry’s Passion (Jerry & Kylie)
I was waiting for this one just to see what Banger would do.
Jerry is one of the brothers. Kylie is Banger’s daughter. Off-limits doesn’t even begin to cover it. Jerry’s been drawn to her for years, but stayed away when she was too young. Now she’s grown up—and the pull between them is impossible to ignore.
Forbidden love, club politics, and another twist that keeps things tense. It’s exactly the kind of “we shouldn’t, but we’re absolutely doing this” story that works so well in an MC world.

Book 7 – Throttle’s Seduction (Throttle & Kimber)
This is my second fave couple in the series.
Throttle is the Road Captain—cocky, gorgeous, total man-whore. His priorities are bikes, women, and more bikes. Then he meets Kimber, a sharp-tongued mechanic who’s already used to proving herself in a male-dominated space.
She’s not impressed by him. At all. And that’s exactly what he needs.
Watching her chip away at his ego and force him to grow is incredibly satisfying. The banter, tension, and payoff are worth every page.

Book 8 – Rock’s Redemption (Rock & Clotille)
Rock and Clotille are a second-chance couple with a messy history. She was the rich girl who fell for the biker; he gave her his heart, and then prison blew everything apart.
Now they’re face-to-face again in historic New Orleans, and nothing is simple. This one is full of secrets, regrets, and slow-burning reconnection. The New Orleans setting adds a slightly moodier feel that I liked.
Funny thing: this was my least favorite in the series… and I still enjoyed it, which says a lot about how solid the whole line-up is.

An Insurgent’s Wedding (Hawk & Cara) – Book 9
If you loved Hawk and Cara as I did, this novella feels like a bonus episode just for you.
Cara finally gets the classy wedding she wants; Hawk gets the biker-style celebration he wants, and of course, trouble shows up in the form of an old enemy. It’s fun, tense, and satisfying—like getting to look in on your favorite couple one more time.

Outlaw Xmas – Book 10
This one feels like spending Christmas with your chaotic biker family.
The Insurgents are running a toy drive for kids who don’t have much—soft spot unlocked—and then the toys start disappearing. On top of that, Banger and Hawk’s kids are put in danger, which cranks the tension all the way up.
It’s emotional, fast-paced, and such a good “I miss these characters” read.

Later Insurgent Stories: Books 11–16
After those core books and novellas, the series keeps going—and the later stories still feel like coming back to the same gritty, dangerous, loyal world you know.
Book 11 – Wheelie’s Challenge
Wheelie is the charming, boyish chick magnet who can have almost anyone… except the one woman he really shouldn’t want. His story centers on forbidden love, vengeance, and the cost of going after someone you’re not supposed to touch.

Book 12 – Christmas Wish
This is a gritty holiday romance about Ryder Rossi, a broken war vet with a Purple Heart he keeps shoved in a chest because he doesn’t feel like a hero. He’s angry, lost, and trying to figure out how to exist again, with Hawk as one of the few people in his corner. Two broken people, one Christmas wish, and a romance that feels more raw than sugary.

Book 13 – Animal’s Reformation
Animal is one of those “last person I should want / last person I can stay away from” heroes. His book leans into redemption, second chances, and that dangerous line between pushing someone away and needing them more than you want to admit.

Book 14 – Shadow’s Surrender
Shadow likes his life simple: easy women, neat whiskey, fast Harley, no complications—and definitely no pampered princesses messing with his peace. Then exactly that type of woman collides with his world, and nothing stays simple. This one is all about the clash between a hardcore biker and a woman who has never had to survive his kind of life.

Book 15 – Smokey’s Distraction
Smokey is used to easy women and uncomplicated nights—until a pretty stranger at a bar flat-out rejects him. Of course, he can’t stop thinking about her. When she walks into his office as his new employee, the sparks are impossible to ignore… and then someone starts stalking her. This one leans into romantic suspense: obsession, danger, and a ladies’ man who has to choose between staying free and falling hard.

Book 16 – Diesel’s Perseverance
Diesel is an Insurgent through and through—fresh out of prison, loyal to the club, and happy with his Harley, his whiskey, and a rotating list of women. Then his younger brother goes missing.
The only real lead? Myla, the brother’s girlfriend, who has been writing to Diesel while he was locked up. She’s curvy, sexy, and way more of a distraction than he can afford while they’re chasing answers through the underbelly of Denver and San Diego.
Corruption, rival MCs, betrayal, and deep family stakes make this one feel a little darker and more intricate. It’s about protection, trust, and whether two damaged people can actually let their walls down long enough to hold onto each other.

Heat, Grit & Warnings
These books are not light or fluffy. Expect:
- Violent moments and outlaw-style justice
- Crime, drugs, and dirty dealings
- High heat and explicit scenes
- Strong language
- Some scenes involving sexual assault/attempted assault
If those parts are hard for you, you can skim and keep going—the heart of the series is still brotherhood, love, and found family.

Final Thoughts on the Insurgents MC
The Insurgents MC series gave me everything I want in an MC world: tough, loyal bikers; strong, layered women; real danger; and a whole lot of heat. It was also my gateway into MC romance—the series that made me realize, “Oh, this is my genre now.”
The brothers fight hard, play hard, and love even harder. The women hold their own, push back, and refuse to just sit quietly on the sidelines. The later books expand the world without losing what made the early ones special.
If you’re already an MC romance fan—or you’re just ready to fall in love with your first biker series—Insurgents MC absolutely deserves a spot on your list.
