Feral Sins by Suzanne Wright is a paranormal wolf-shifter romance that grabs you fast and doesnโt let go. This series was actually my first paranormal read, so itโll always have a soft spot in my heart. I started it back in 2014 an,d I swear I blinked and a whole decade passed. Where did the time go?What I love most is how Wright builds this shifter world that feels aliveโpacks with politics, threats that donโt play nice, and chemistry that doesnโt simmerโฆ it runs hot.
What Itโs About
The story follows Taryn, a strong-willed, sharp-tongued woman whoโs used to handling herselfโeven when trouble seems to find her like it has her address saved. She ends up in an arrangement with Trey, the intense, feral, ridiculously sexy Alpha of the Phoenix Packโฆ and yes, he was one of my original book boyfriends. They pretend to be mates, and the tension between them is the kind that makes you sit up a little straighter while youโre reading.
Tarynโs an alpha too, but she canโt shiftโwhich only adds to the way people underestimate her. Big mistake. She has that โtry me if you want toโ energy, and itโs honestly one of my favorite things about her.
My Thoughts About the Book
Suzanne Wrightโs writing has this easy, addictive rhythm. The story moves without draggingโaction when you need it, emotional moments that actually land, and plenty of steamy scenes that understand the assignment.
And the chemistry between Taryn and Trey? Electric. Their banter is one of the highlights for me because itโs not just flirtingโitโs power, personality, and two stubborn people trying to stay in control while clearly losing the battle.
One of the biggest strengths of Feral Sins is the supporting cast. The pack members arenโt background noiseโtheyโre real characters with distinct personalities, opinions, and messy little dynamics that make the world feel bigger than just the main couple. Their interactions add humor, tension, and that โfound family with clawsโ vibe that shifter readers live for.
Wright also does a great job layering in pack conflict and rival tension without overcomplicating things. By the time I finished, I wasnโt just invested in Taryn and TreyโI wanted more of everyone.

And I have to say it: Treyโs Granny is a scene-stealer. Sheโs hilarious, stubborn, and loud about her opinionsโespecially when it comes to Taryn. She claims she canโt stand herโฆ but the back-and-forth between them is comedy gold. Taryn doesnโt back down, Granny doesnโt soften up, and somehow it works. Under all that attitude, Granny is ride-or-die for her boys, and you canโt help but love her for it.
Final Thoughts
If you like your romance passionate, your chemistry off the charts, and your shifters alpha, possessive, and pack-loyal, Feral Sins deserves a spot on your list. Itโs fast, spicy, and packed with characters youโll want to follow through the whole series.
Suzanne Wright is honestly one of my go-to paranormal authorsโbecause she delivers plot and heat, and she doesnโt make you wait around for the good stuff. If youโre in the mood for a wolf-shifter romance with bite, banter, and a whole lot of tension, grab this oneโฆ and clear your schedule for the rest of the series. ๐
