Ryder Sons of Sangue Book 6 Review

Ryder Sons of Sangue Book 6 Review

By Patricia A Rasey

Ryder is book 6 of the Sons of Sangue series.

What can I say about this book?  This is the best in the series–hands down. I may be biased, though, because Ryder is my favorite.

What’s not to like about an undercover vampire with the intent to use the niece of the target to get closer to him?  What happens when said vampire falls in love with said niece. What happens when said niece falls in love with an undercover vampire?  What happens when said niece found out that said vampire used her to get access to her uncle.

It’s so hard to know where to begin with this review because right now, my mind is everywhere with this book.  There are so many good things to mention in Ryder’s  book.  As a matter of fact, there is nothing I don’t like about the book.

As a fan of Patricia A Rasey’s work, I’ve read almost all her books, and no doubt this is her best work (let’s see what she can do with Wolf’s book). Every one of Ms. Racey’s books is better than the last. This is her elaborate scheme to keep her fans begging for more, which is precisely where I am now.

Ryder is such a fantastic character, and it is so easy to fall in love with him.  If you have read the other books, you will know his story and how he lost his girlfriend and unborn child. So right from the start, I was gunning for him. He feels that Gabby is way out of his league and does not deserve her love.  Ryder is a proud, decent, and loving man who will protect the one he loves.

Gabby is such a strong and aspiring character, and except for staying under her uncle’s thumb, she will do what it takes to get what she wants. This is evident in the way she approached Ryder and how she seeks him out once they separated.  She has a backbone and is not shy to stand up for herself and for those she loves.

The characters were believable, and I could feel the chemistry between Ryder and Gabby.  Sparks fly from their very first meeting, and that is how I want my books to start. Their journey to their HEA was rocky, but they made it. Yaayyy!

On a serious note, to say I loved this book and that it’s one of the best books I’ve read this year would be an understatement.

The story was soooo addictive, and I was engrossed in the book from the very first page…not enough pages in this book–if you ask me.  Trust me when I say this book will keep you up reading all night–page-turner for sure.

I gave this book 5 stars because:

  • The book kept me hooked to the end
  • The book was fast-paced and easy to read and understand
  • The characters were 100% real to well-developed, and me
  • The plot was everything I imaged it would be
  • Patricia A Rasey’s writing was mind-blowing and descriptive
  • I would highly recommend this book and the series
